Word bank poem

The complex behavior
the moralizing force
Frightfully clever
the mind is filled with holes

Junes silent murmur
the strange, piercing yells
Desire drops of liquid
insinuating granite on themselves

Billy Collins - The names

This morning I woke up sore,
The morning was bleak and cold,
It became my mission to never leave my bed again,
But I new the inevitable was in the sights,
So I sighed and crawled out of bed,
choked on some water then got breakfast,
My cat nearly tripped me down the stairs,
I hate that animal, he's tried to kill me twice,
I slunk back upstairs and tried to sleep again,
it was a honorable attempt,
nearly noon when I got back up,
But the neighbors had construction going,
So I sighed and decided to just get up and face the day

Ode to my cousins

Since we were young, even when we were one
the same problem has always been the same
1 of me and two you, more to come
But it seems the crazy has always been us

Oh, my cousins, the ginger and the blonde
The ginger is a tomboy, likes to fight
the blonde is crazy, she stays up till dawn
They are sisters, only a year apart

Even too this day you two compete
You two argue, you fight, you yell, you scream
I  have to settle for the middle seat
Because if I don't, total war breaks out

M.J., CiCi , you're crazy as can be
But it has always been you guys and me

"Insomnia" by Elizabeth Bishop

The beast had entered the bar
He is of the most nortorious monsters
With crooked charm and looks to kill
He has no family, he killed all his brothers
He is colder than the artic wind
But he is good at what he is, he is a hunter

The beast took a seat
He sat down several seats from me
He nodded and ordered his drink
He winked at a girl, she giggled with glee
He smirked to himself and received his drink
The prey had come to the beast

The poem of the century

Today I wore my polka dotted boots
While my dad taught me how to shoot
I hit the targets one by one
and my dad said I was a hoot

Today I wore my polka dotted boots
As I picked the store I planned to loot
I set fire to the street and took what I wanted
Something exploded and the world went mute

Today I wore my polka dotted boots
The guard said I was cute
Alone in my cell I played the flute
All alone with my polka dotted boots

Song

Where did you sleep last night? - Nirvana

 My girl, my girl
Don't lie to me
Tell me where, did you sleep last night?

In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun
dont ever shine

I would shiver the whole night through
My girl my girl where will you go
I'm going where the cold wind blows

In the pines, in the pines
where t he sun, dont ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

Her husband was a hard working man
Just about a mile from here
His head was found in a driving wheel
But his body never was found

My girl, my girl, don't lie to me
Tell me where did you sleep last night?

In the pines, in the pines, where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, where will you go?
I'm going where the cold wind blows

In the pines, in the pines, where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, don't lie to me
Tell me where did you sleep last night?

In the pines, in the pines, where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, where will you go?
I'm going where the cold wind blows

In the pines, in the pines, where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

Where did you creep last night? - By Hope

My nerd, my nerd
Dont sigh at me
Tell me where, did you creep last night?
By the mine, by the mine
Where the cool kids, all, shine
With their red plastic cups all night

My nerd, my nerd,
What will you do?
Everyone here, hates you
Oh how, oh how, could you be so stupid

The party was long
But the best part of all
was when the drink kids began to fall
You had your fun
and now, my son
You will forever be shunned

My nerd, my nerd
Dont sigh at me
Tell where, did you creep last night?
By the mine, by the mine
Where the cool kids all shine
With their red plastic cups all night

My nerd, my nerd
What will you do?
Everyone here hates you
Oh how, oh how, could you be so stupid?

My nerd
Red!
Plastic!
Cups!

Serious Poem

The sun shined harshly
As I feel on my knees
Blood soaked the sandy beach
as the cut on my foot began to bleed

The salty water made it sting
I screamed in a lot of pain
my wound made me lame
god I hate Maine

I limp up the beach
and make it to safety
first aid comes
and I dont die
